Yasha Phillips joined Joe Kidd and The Gash in 2005. After trying out many talented drummers Joe was having a hard time finding someone who understood his music. Most drummers in the High Desert area of California wanted to play Metal or Hardcore. Robert Modica, a mutual friend, introduced Joe to Yasha and they had their first rehearsal in late 2005. The musical chemistry was instant. Yasha has a firm grasp of the musical concepts put forth by Joe, and it shows in the studio.

Although Yasha doesn't play all the live shows for Joe Kidd and The Gash anymore, he is still the driving force behind all the drum lines in JK+G songs and plays on all the studio tracks. Yasha also drums for BLAUDO, OOLYAKOO, MAJESTY ONE and TRIBAL LUST.
